HD Plus, headquartered in Portland, Oregon, is the leading private company developing innovative dialysis solutions. The company’s novel home dialysis system offers a paradigm change for patients suffering from End Stage Renal Disease, a life-threatening chronic condition affecting over 400,000 people annually in the US. The HD Plus system uses proprietary microfluidic technology, licensed from Hewlett Packard and similar to that used in inkjet printers, to enable dialysis at home in a low cost, patient-friendly manner.
