Institute of Audio Research

Founded in 1969, The Institute of Audio Research (IAR) is a post-secondary audio engineering and production school located in the Greenwich Village area of New York City. The Institute's website can be found at www.audioschool.com. The Institute offers a program of 13 courses, which can be completed on a full-time (9-month) or part-time (12-month) basis. The program is designed to prepare sound engineering technicians to operate machines and equipment to record, synchronize, mix, or reproduce music, voices, or sound effects in recording studios, sporting arenas, theater productions, or movie and video productions.
