Starpoint is an ambulatory surgery center operator, managing three facilities in Southern California (Irvine, Studio City, Victorville). The Company's primary specialties include podiatry, pain management and orthopedics. Ambulatory surgery centers provide a venue for surgical procedures that don't require a hospital admission (typically defined as requiring an overnight stay). In partnership with management, Caltius Equity Partners sponsored the acquisition of Starpoint in August 2006, acquiring a controlling interest in the company.
