During his career in Tele2 he has also chaired the boards of its IT-related subsidiary Trigger Software and cable TV in Estonia and Lithuania. Üllar is also the Chairman of the Council of Enterprise Estonia (www.eas.ee), a government-financed organization which supports and provides EU and local funds to Estonian entrepreneurs to increase the competitiveness of the economy. He was also member of the council of Myoton (www.myoton.ee), an Estonian medical high-tech startup and member of the council of the Baltic News Service (BNS, www.bns.ee). Üllar is a partner of MTVP and responsible for current and future investment projects. He has very good experience and expertise in managing of startup and mature companies in the Baltic’s and Russia. Üllar Jaaksoo (36) has managed various companies in Baltic and Russia, banking, publishing, telecom and sport retail. He started as the head of retail department, then the Vice President responsible for electronic channels and subsidiaries and finally the CEO of Estonian Savings Bank (1993-98). Next position was CEO of Ajakirjade Kirjastus, the largest magazine publisher in Estonia (1998-2000), then CEO of mobile operator Tele2 Estonia (2000-2005) and coordinator of the activities of Tele2 Baltic’s (2003-2005). From 2005 to 2007 he was the CEO of Sportland, the largest Baltic sports retailer operating also in Russia, Finland and Ukraine. For three years in a row (2002-2004) Tele2 Estonia (www.tele2.com) was voted the most successful Estonian company, a feat not repeated by any other company. Under Jaaksoo's helm Tele2 Estonia grew 6 times and reached sales of 90 m EUR.
