Amit Jain

Bio

Amit is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. He has a well rounded corporate finance experience of more than 10 years. An alumni of Shri Ram College of Commerce, Amit started his career with A F Ferguson (now a member firm of Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu India). In early 2000, he moved on to DSP Merrill Lynch where he was a part of their investment banking team. In early 2003, Amit moved over to Ernst & Young in their M&A and private equity intermediation team. He has worked across sectors and has a rich deal experience. He has worked on a number of private and public equity fund raisings, domestic and cross border M&A transactions. Amit joined Elephant in October 2007. He heads the team in India and is responsible for deal origination, due diligence & execution of transactions. He is also responsible for monitoring the fund's operations and portfolio companies.
