Chitresh Modi

Bio

Chitresh Modi, an associate with BVP India in Mumbai, joined the firm in 2008. He focuses on investments in power, clean energy, education and financial services. Most recently, Chitresh was area head of corporate sales for ICICI’s Lombard General Insurance Company. His prior positions at ICICI Lombard include manager of techno-marketing in the corporate solutions group and underwriting and claims manager. He also worked with India’s General Insurance Council, the non-life insurance industry’s national trade group, to facilitate the deregulation of property insurance rates. Chitresh earned a bachelor’s in technology from IIT Madras with a major in electrical engineering and a minor in financial management. He placed in the top three percent of his finance classes. At IIT, he was active on the student-life committee and helped coordinate both the technical and cultural festivals.
