Bio
Mr Azad is a Managing Director of Galen Partners, a leading healthcare growth equity investment firm founded in 1990. Azad focuses on investments in healthcare services, information technology, life science tools and services, and specialty pharmaceutical companies. Previously, Mr Azad was an Associate Principal with McKinsey & Company, where he advised senior executives of healthcare companies on business building initiatives, corporate strategy and licensing and acquisitions from 2000-2005. He began his career as an attorney with Latham & Watkins, where he focused on healthcare compliance, reimbursement, and tax matters. Mr Azad currently serves on the Board of Directors of Nautilus Neurosciences and Unisyn Medical Technologies. He is a board observer on Acura Pharmaceuticals (Nasdaq: ACUR). Past board involvement includes CBLPath (acquired by Sonic Healthcare in 2010). Mr Azad holds an AB from Duke University and JD from the University of Chicago.
