David J Gallo

Bio

Mr Gallo is committed to increasing the quantity and quality of affordable housing and has strong knowledge of state and federal laws and regulations governing affordable housing development Mr Gallo’s typical projects include creative financing packages with various forms of government subsidies and non-profit partners. While working at Whitney Capital Company, Mr Gallo has worked on all phases of the acquisition and development of affordable housing communities, acquired and rehabilitated over hundreds of units, facilitated the sale of multifamily assets and structured new tax exempt debt. Prior to joining the Whitney Capital Company’s team, David worked in the investment banking industry at Torsiello Capital Partners and JP Morgan Chase. Mr Gallo completed his Master of Science Degree in real estate with honors at New York University, and received his Bachelor of Science Degree with honors from Fordham University. In 2002, Mr Gallo was awarded Fordham University's College of Business Administration's Alumni Association Award. In 2004, he was the recipient of the New York University's Real Estate Institutes Dean's Graduate Fellowship and Merit Fellowship, for academic excellence. In 2006, New York University's Real Estate Institute awarded Mr Gallo the Future Alumni Scholarship. Mr Gallo is a board member with the Italian Board of Guardians and the Hofstra Advisory Board.
