Georges Saier

Bio

Georges Saier is a co-founder of the NewFinance Group and currently acts as a senior consultant. Georges Saier was Co-Head of the Global Proprietary Positioning group at JP Morgan Chase, leading a business that invests for the bank’s own account across most asset classes. Georges Saier was also a Member of the Investment Banking Operating Committee that set strategic direction for the investment bank of JP Morgan. Before the December 2000 merger of JP Morgan and Chase Manhattan Bank, Georges headed the European Proprietary Positioning business for JP Morgan and was Head of the Market Risk Committee for Europe. In 1994, he became Head of all Market Activities for JP Morgan in Europe. During his 18-year career at JP Morgan, Georges has led teams in three of the bank’s principal lines of business: Fixed Income, Equities, and Proprietary Positioning. He joined JP Morgan in 1984 and became a Managing Director in 1989.
