Bio

Mr Baird oversees all legal aspects of Quantum’s activities, with primary emphasis on transaction structuring, documentation and due diligence. Mr Baird also consults with Quantum's portfolio companies and affiliated funds on general legal, tax and other matters. Mr Baird joined Quantum from Andrews Kurth LLP (AK), a Houston-based law firm, where he had practiced law since 1978, with emphasis on partnership, limited liability company, securities and tax law. Mr Baird began representing Quantum in 2003 and, prior to joining Quantum, acted as primary legal counsel on substantially all of Quantum’s transactions for QEP II and QEP III. Mr Baird is a member of the State Bar of Texas. Mr Baird holds a BS degree with Special Attainments in Commerce from Washington and Lee University and a JD from Southern Methodist University.
