Mr. Aguirre joined Farragut Capital Partners’ predecessor firm, SPP Mezzanine Partners, in 2007 as a Vice President and has served on the firm’s Investment Committee since 2008. Prior, Mr. Aguirre was with Lehman Brothers' Investment Management Division in New York where he worked on strategic acquisitions as well as various organic growth initiatives for the firm's $175 billion institutional asset management business. Mr. Aguirre began his investing career at Darby Overseas Investments, a global emerging markets private equity and venture capital firm founded and led by former U.S. Secretary of Treasury Nicholas Brady. Prior to Darby, Mr. Aguirre was with Deutsche Banc Alex.Brown's mergers and acquisitions practice in Baltimore. Mr. Aguirre holds an M.B.A. from Columbia University, a B.S. in Foreign Service from Georgetown University, and is a CFA charter holder and a member of the CFA Institute, and the Washington Society of Investment Analysts.
