Javier Arrechea

Bio

Before joining Sterling in 2007, Javier was President of Advantya in Education, where he sourced education opportunities in the United States, Europe, and Latin America. In this capacity, he identified and helped acquire educational institutions for both Laureate Education Inc., an international network of accredited campus-based and online universities, and Meritas LLC, a global family of unique schools. Javier has also owned K-12 educational and language institutions in a number of Spanish-speaking countries. While at Advantya in Education, Javier assisted Laureate with the acquisition of 14 universities. He also helped Meritas acquire eight schools. Today, Javier works with both Laureate and Meritas - Sterling's portfolio investments - in his role at the firm.
