Bio

Prior to co-founding ACP, Mr. Rogers spent the past ten years of his career (2000-2010) as Co-Founder and Co-Principal Managing Director of Golden Gate Capital. At GGC, Mr. Rogers was actively involved in building the firm, setting the firm’s strategy, recruiting and managing the team, and approving major firm decisions, including portfolio company investments and divestitures. In addition, Mr. Rogers actively worked on and led transactions in the consumer products and financial services verticals, serving on sixteen Boards of Directors. Prior to cofounding GGC, Mr. Rogers spent sixteen years (1984-2000) at Bain & Company, where he founded, built and served as the Global Head of Bain’s Private Equity Group (PEG). Under his leadership, Bain's PEG became a global leader in this business, working closely with many of the world’s premiere private equity firms, and the group contributed a substantial portion of the firm’s revenue and profitability. Earlier in his career he led a wide variety of assignments, including strategy development initiatives, operational turn-arounds, and acquisition integration efforts in numerous industries, including transportation, distribution, automotive, consumer products, packaging, and basic manufacturing. He also served as the West Coast head of Bain’s consumer products practice. He was a Director and was elected to the firm’s Governance Committee. Mr. Rogers is a current or past member of the Board of Directors of Interstate National, Tactical Holdings, Cydcor / 2020, Pinnacle, Makena Capital (observer), Max Media, CCCS, Rocket Dog, Herbalife, Endurance (observer), Employers Direct, Eye Care Centers of America, Eos, Lexicon, B-Line, SignStorey, Bain, Beringer Wine Estates, Ruiz Food Products, TauTona, Stanford University’s DAPER Investment Fund, The Steering Committee for The Stanford Challenge Capital Campaign, The Executive Committee of the Stanford Athletic Board, Common Sense Media, and the United Way of the Bay Area. Rogers received a Masters in Business Administration from Harvard Business School and a B.A. in Economics from Stanford University.
