Jochen Martin

Bio

Mr Martin worked in the private equity industry since 1994, lastly for EQT, a Northern European financial investor managing EUR 11 billion in equity in 11 funds. He was a founding Partner of the EQT Opportunity Fund, a fund with equity commitments of EUR 372 million targeting investments in turnarounds, underperformers and special situations. During his more than seven years with EQT, he was responsible for deal origination, leading the due diligence and negotiations in numerous acquisition projects and held instrumental roles in successful acquisitions of EQT´s portfolio companies such as Dometic, Symrise, Sirona and Pfaff Silberblau. Prior to joining EQT, Mr Martin worked from 1994 until 2000 at IMM/TA Triumph-Adler AG, back then a private equity vehicle being transformed into a stock-listed holding company for investments in small and medium-sized enterprises in various industries. As a Project Manager, he was responsible for Finance and M&A in the Toy Division of IMM/TA Triumph-Adler AG. During this time, he also served as an interim CFO for a major French subsidiary in financial distress. He started his professional career as an inhouse consultant for performance improvement projects in the VIAG group in 1993. Mr Martin earned a Master of Science in Business Administration from the University of Passau.
