John S Foster

Bio

Mr. Foster joined NGP in 1989 and serves as a Managing Director and Executive Vice President, Capital Markets. He oversees all investor relations for NGP and leads the capital-raising efforts for the entire NGP platform of funds. Mr. Foster spends additional time helping to identify private investment opportunities. Prior to joining NGP, Mr. Foster was employed by CS First Boston Corporation’s Corporate Bond Research department where he worked on primary and secondary public market transactions in the oil, natural gas, oil services, railroad and finance industries. Before joining CS First Boston, he was employed in the Audit division of the accounting firm of Coopers and Lybrand. Mr. Foster received a B.A. in Political Economy in 1981 from Williams College and an M.B.A. in 1986 from New York University. In 1980, he won an Urban Fellowship with the City of New York and completed numerous projects in the Mayor’s Office of Operations and the Department of Health. He became a Certified Public Accountant in 1983 and maintained his license through 1986.
