Kevin Howe, co-founded Mercury Ventures with his partner, Dan Goodwin in 1999. Since 1999, Mercury Ventures has made invested in more than 20 private placements and 80 publicly held technology firms. Howe’s experience is equally extensive in both the roles of entrepreneur and corporate manager. His corporate experience includes strategic planning, mergers, acquisitions, branding and marketing. His entrepreneurial experience includes founding DacEasy Accounting and Martin-Howe Associates. Howe’s first entrepreneurial endeavor was co-founding DacEasy Accounting, the leading accounting package on the market in the 80’s. In 1987, Howe led the sale of DacEasy to Insilco (a Fortune 500) in one of the largest software transactions of that year. In 1988, Howe was participated in an LBO of Insilco. In 1991, Howe led the sale of DacEasy to the Sage Group, plc. DacEasy was the first of over 30 technology acquisitions by Sage during the 90’s. Howe was CEO of the US operations and served on the Sage Group board until 2005. Howe also co-founded Martin Howe Associates in 1993. MHA was an early leader in the merchant credit card processing industry and a pioneer in wireless solutions. Howe orchestrated the sale of the company in a pooling of interests transaction to PMT, a publicly traded company. Howe is Chairman of the Board for River Logic, Inc. and a Board Director of DG Fast Channel (NASDAQ symbol DGIT). Howe is a member of the World Wide Presidents Organization serving the Dallas Chapter in a variety of leadership roles. Howe also serves on the Executive Board of the Cox School of Business at SMU. Howe earned an MBA from Southern Methodist University in 1976 and BBA from Northwestern State University in 1970.
