Bio

Larry has 30 years' experience in engineering, technology and international business, and is a wireless industry expert. He founded / co-founded a number of telecom technology companies, including: Aldiscon, a recognised innovator in supplying messaging software products to the mobile communications industry, which was sold to Logica in 1997; Apion, the WAP gateway pioneer, which was sold to Phone.com in 1999. From 1997 to 2002, he was Chairman and Chief Executive of Logica Mobile Networks, and a member of the Logica plc Executive Board. He is currently the Chairman of two Atlantic Bridge portfolio companies - Acision, the global leader in messaging, where he led the buyout from Logica in 2007; and Accuris, a leading player in mobile roaming solutions. In addition, Larry is a private shareholder and on the boards of a number of telecom and high tech companies. He has been the non-executive chairman of Altion, a UK provider of network management software for telecom operators, since 2002. He served as the Chairman of Superscape plc, a LSE-listed provider of 3D content and technology for the wireless industry, from 2003 to 2008, and a Director of Interactive Services Limited, a provider of custom-learning program for corporate, from 2001 to 2007. He was awarded Irish Software of the Year Award in 2004. Larry holds an Honours degree in Engineering from University College Dublin and is a Chartered Engineer.
