Len Batterson

Bio

Mr Batterson is the Founder, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Batterson Venture Partners, a leading national venture capital management firm. He is also Founder, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of vcapital.com (Venture Capital Online LLC), the leading international clearinghouse for venture capital. Currently, the company has over $30 billion in its network and a vertical Internet portal for entrepreneurs, business owners, investors and professional service providers. In addition, he is the co-founder and managing partner of Batterson, Johnson & Wang, an institutional venture capital fund. Earlier, Mr Batterson was Director of the venture capital division of the Allstate Insurance Company, one the country's oldest, largest and most successful venture capital operations. He has been a founding investor in a number of firms, including: America Online, Northfield Laboratories, Health Magazine, Atlantic American Cablevision, LinksCorp and vcapital.com, as well as an early investor CyberSource and beyond.com. During his career, Mr Batterson has been the Chairman and/or Chief Executive Officer of Lamb Enterprises, Receptor Laboratories, Dytel Corporation, vcapital.com, LinksCorp and Batterson Venture Partners, as well as a director of many venture capital backed companies. Mr Batterson is a Director of the Illinois Coalition, an advisory board member of ARCS, and a member of the State of Illinois Governor's Science and Technology Advisory Board. Mr Batterson is a graduate of Washington University, Washington University Law School and Harvard Business School.
