Under Fenwick's leadership Bloomberg's European operations expanded to include more than 2,000 employees in 40 new offices, five new local-language Bloomberg Television channels were created in the UK and Europe, and Bloomberg L.P. became a major contributor to contemporary arts. In June 2000, Fenwick was appointed manager of global sales. In April 2001, he was named Chief Operating Officer of Bloomberg L.P., working alongside founder Michael R. Over the next seven years, Bloomberg not only increased its terminal base to 285,000 worldwide but also started new businesses and initiated many new innovations. Fenwick founded Bloomberg Ventures in July 2008. In 2009, Bloomberg Ventures launched Bloomberg Link to produce invitation-only, in-person gatherings. The gatherings combine world-class editorial programming with peer-to-peer networking within influential communities. Currently, Bloomberg Ventures is developing the Bloomberg Institute which will provide a variety of courses, tests and certifications to the financial community. Fenwick is a trustee of P.S. 1 Contemporary Art Center.
