Lucas Rogers

Bio

Mr. Rogers is an Associate at New Horizons Venture Capital. His experience includes financial market and economic research at The United States Securities & Exchange Commission for the Division of Risk, Strategy, and Financial Innovation. In this role, Mr. Rogers leveraged proprietary data and regulatory filings for the study of hedge funds, structured financial products, market structure, and regulatory rule-making implications. Previously, he worked as a financial analyst for Southern Community Financial Corp where his work was focused on monitoring swap counterparty risk for a portfolio of positions, fixed income portfolio analytics, annual report preparation, and diagnostic support for a new asset/liability management initiative. He is also currently progressing in the Chartered Financial Analyst Program as an level-two candidate and is an active member of the CFA society of Washington. Mr. Rogers holds Bachelors degrees in Economics and Finance, was inducted into Beta Gamma Sigma, and is completing his Master of Science in Finance at The George Washington University School of Business. His research interests have included equity returns modeling, portfolio management, systemic risk and financial regulation, and international macroeconomics.
