Bio

Albert joined AMV Partners as a senior associate in 2007. Prior to joining AMV Partners, Albert was a board certified emergency physician practicing within the Duke University Health System. While maintaining a clinical practice, he received his MBA from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business where he was a Bank of America and Healthcare Alumni Scholarship recipient. Albert was a Venture Fellow with the Aurora Funds where he supported investment selection and diligence in the medical device, pharmaceutical and healthcare services sectors. Albert completed his residency at the UMDNJ/Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. As a resident, he was lead-author on an early paper studying emergency department operations. Albert has board responsibilities for Axogen and Sebacia and is a founder of TIF companies Halscion (funded by Versant Ventures, SV Life Sciences and AMV), AestheTec (funded by Versant Ventures and AMV) and Sebacia (funded by Versant Ventures, Domain Associates and AMV). Albert received his BS and MD from the University of Miami where he was a Medical Scholar.
