Bio

Mr. Spilker joined Apollo as President in 2010. Mr. Spilker retired from Goldman Sachs in May 2010 following a 20-year career with the firm, where he served most recently as the co-head of Goldman Sachs’ Investment Management Division (IMD) and also as a member of the firm-wide Management Committee. Mr. Spilker joined IMD in 2006 as head of Global Alternative Asset Management and became chief operating officer in 2007. Prior to that, Mr. Spilker was responsible for Goldman Sachs’ U.S. Equities Trading and Global Equity Derivatives and was head of Fixed Income, Currency and Commodities in Japan from 1997 to 2000. Mr. Spilker joined Goldman Sachs in 1990 and was named partner in 1996. Mr. Spilker graduated with a B.S. in Economics from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. Mr. Spilker is a member of the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton Undergraduate Executive Board, the Board of Directors of The New 42nd Street, Inc. and co-chairs the RFK Leadership Council at the Robert F. Kennedy Center for Justice & Human Rights.
