Marc Zügel

Bio

Mr Zügel joined Allianz Venture Partners in 2002 from SOFTBANK Europe Ventures, where he was one of the founding partners responsible for managing the Munich office since September 2000. During his tenure at Softbank, Mr Zügel was directly involved in investing in 10 early stage technology companies in the field of enterprise application software, infrastructure software, communication and professional services. Prior, Mr Zügel spent over seven years in various positions within Goldman Sachs' Investment Banking and Capital Markets High Technology Groups in New York, London and Frankfurt. He held company co-responsibility for the software sector and management responsibility for more than 50 high technology bankers. In these functions, he was involved in both German and US technology initial public offerings, strategic/private equity financings and Technology M&A transactions. Prior to Goldman Sachs, Mr Zügel worked for British Telecom & Du Pont Technologies in the UK. Mr Zügel holds two degrees in Business Administration from the International Partnership of Business Schools (IPBS), a diploma of the Ecole Superieure de Commerce in Reims and a BA (Hons) from the Middlesex University Business School in London.
