Dr. Marie Lindner joined BioAdvance in 2008 after a distinguished career as a medical doctor, a global pharmaceutical / biotechnology executive and with chief executive experience in biotech and entrepreneurial life sciences. As Venture Partner with BioAdvance, Dr. Lindner works closely with therapeutic-focused portfolio companies and provides management teams with strategic advice, business, and regulatory/clinical strategy counsel. She also provides significant medical and business expertise in reviewing applicant companies. Dr. Lindner has consulted in biotechnology strategy, medical and regulatory affairs, and business development for numerous clients. She previously served as SVP, Medical & Business Affairs at Isolagen; VP, Strategic Business Development at BTG International; and VP, Medical Market Strategy, Elan Drug Delivery. In addition, she worked in various roles at SmithKline Beecham (now GSK) and Rhône-Poulenc Rorer (now sanofi-aventis) in business and clinical roles supporting small molecule and biologic therapies in a broad range of therapeutic categories. She was a Co-Founder of Embera NeuroTherapeutics, a start-up biotech company focused on treatment of addiction, and took the roles of President and Chief Medical Officer while with that company. Dr. Lindner became board certified in internal medicine and clinical nutrition, and did a general surgery residency, and a fellowship in atherosclerosis prior to nearly two decades of business experience. Among her successes, she counts the design of Special Protocol Assessment pivotal trials which led to clinically and statistically significant outcomes and the design of positive proof of concept clinical trials.
