Bio

Mark joined Sigma as a Senior Associate in the fall of 2010. He brings a diverse set of experiences to the firm that highlight his approach of combining analytical rigor with creativity. He is passionate about helping great entrepreneurs to start and grow innovative companies. Mark recently earned an MBA from Harvard Business School, where he focused much of his academic and extracurricular attention on entrepreneurship. After business school, Mark became an in-house advisor at the Boston startup incubator, TechStars, where he helped founders sharpen business models, understand market segments, refine growth strategies, and plan fundraising efforts. At TechStars, he caught the startup bug, and he’s currently still involved with a matchmaking website that he founded. He spent his MBA summer as an investment analyst at a hedge fund in New York City. Prior to business school, Mark was a strategy consultant at Alliance Consulting Group, a boutique management strategy firm in Boston. In his spare time, he is an artist who enjoys drawing, painting and graphic design. Mark is also a national champion rifle marksman. Mark graduated from Harvard College in 2004 where he majored in Economics. He received his MBA from Harvard Business School in 2009.
