Michael F Brandt

Bio

Mr. Brandt is responsible for portfolio company oversight and leading operational due diligence efforts. Prior to joining Gores, Mr. Brandt was Corporate Vice President and President of the Europe, Middle East, Africa and India regions of The Valspar Corporation. Mr. Brandt spent 15 years at Valspar, a global leader in the paint, coatings and specialty chemicals industry, in a series of general management and executive positions. Prior to that, Mr. Brandt spent eight years at Cargill, the largest privately owned corporation in the U.S., in the areas of commodities trading and risk management in the U.S., purchasing and supply chain management on the corporate staff, strategic planning and business development in Mexico, and manufacturing management in England, Wales and the U.S. Mr. Brandt serves on the Board of Directors of Siemens Enterprise Communications and is Chairman of Sagem Communications. Mr. Brandt earned a B.S. degree from California Polytechnic State University, and an M.B.A. in Finance at The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
