Michael Visbal

Bio

Based in Los Angeles, Michael Visbal joined Turnstone in 2010 to oversee the firm's west coast operations and business development activities. Michael brings a substantial network of relationships and long history of investment advisory success to Turnstone. Michael leads the firm's expansion in California and will oversee the firm's US West Coast distribution of its private equity product offerings. Prior to joining Turnstone, Michael founded The Visbal Group, a financial advisory and asset management firm dedicated to a select group of high net worth individuals. Before launching his own firm, Michael's financial career spanned over twenty-five years at such leading financial firms as Kepmer Securities (Sr. VP) , Bear Sterns (Sr. VP), and the iconic Drexel Burnham Lambert where he was a First Vice President and leading producer for the firm. Experienced in tax matters, Michael started his career working for Price Waterhouse and Breslauer, Jacobson, Rutman & Sherman, where he was a Tax Manager. Michael is actively involved in his community, serving on the boards of the American Ocean's Campaign, the Boys and Girls Club of Venice, and Fundacion Pais Libre in Colombia. Michael was born in the US and spent much of his youth in Latin America. He is fluent in Spanish and conversational in Portugese, Italian and French. He earned his BS in Accounting from the University of Southern California, and completed Masters courses in English Literature and Finance at UCLA.
