Mike Batal

Bio

Prior to joining Rho in 2004, Mr Batal spent two years as a Senior Vice President and Partner at Citigroup Private Equity. Prior to Citigroup, he spent 12 years with Bankers Trust, where he was a Managing Director and Partner at BT Capital Partners. Mike has sponsored and co-invested in deals across a myriad of industries in North America, Europe and Asia. He has invested in buyouts, recapitalizations, turnarounds, and growth situations Mr Batal has held Board seats at Bulova Technologies (defense contractor), Safety 1st (children's products), Jet Plastica (injection molding), and Shari's (restaurant chain). Mr Batal holds an MBA in Finance from the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business.
