Bio

He has around 15 years of experience, largely in the infrastructure space. Prior to joining IDFC Project Equity, Milind worked with the transport group at GMR across different functions - project finance, commercial and contracts. He was a key member of the team involved in the bidding and acquisition of Delhi International Airport. He then moved to the Airport Project as Head - Contracts and Commercial and was instrumental in award of construction contracts of over USD 1.5 billion. Prior to GMR, Milind was associated with Tata Power and Powergen India. At Tata Power, he led the financial close of the first transmission project in the private sector - a 1200 kms transmission line from Bhutan to Delhi. At Powergen, he headed the treasury operations and was involved in the acquisition and financing of a 655 MW power plant in Gujarat. He started his professional career at ICICI Ltd., where he was a core member of the infrastructure business. He managed a portfolio of over 15 companies in the infrastructure space and was involved in financial closure of five projects. Masters in Business Administration from the Indian Institute of Management, Kolkata and a B.Tech degree from the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi.
