Bio

Portfolio manager and analyst with over 20 years’ investment industry experience. Works on the NewSmith Global Equity Team, where he is responsible for managing both a Long Only and an Absolute Return strategy for institutional investors. Before joining NewSmith, was a senior sector specialist at the global hedge fund Cantillon Capital Management. Prior to that, led Global Financials sector investment at Pictet Asset Management, where he also ran the Financials segment of Pictet’s Alphanatics hedge fund. Joined Pictet from Lazard Asset Management where he specialised in European financials and co-headed the global financials research team. Before Pictet, led the European Banks research team at Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein. Qualified as a Chartered Accountant with Arthur Andersen in 1986.
