Lead investor in the acquisition of European Mobile Telephone Services Germany, a company whose parent was listed on the Zurich Stock Exchange. In 2000, brought in by KKR as CEO of Bosch's communication business, renamed Tenovis. In 1999, founded the European Telco Exchange. In the early 1990s Managing Director of GPT Communications in the UK, and later Managing Director of o.tel.o, a German telecommunications operator. Prior to that, long and distinguished career with Siemens in the US and Germany. Teaches entrepreneurship at INSEAD where he is Entrepreneur-in-Residence. Also founder of the European Entrepreneurship Foundation (2006) and author of the book 'CHANGE! Shape today your company of tomorrow' (Moderne Industrie 2002). Chairman of Bitronic, an IT and communications services company and President of Winning Angel Think Tank.
