Bio
Sun Microsystems’ Executive Vice President of Sun's Global Sales and Services, reporting to Jonathan Schwartz, Sun's president and chief executive officer. Prior to this, was Senior Vice President of Global Sales for the Americas Region including the US, Canada and Latin America. Joined Sun in June 2006 and spent a successful year as Senior Vice President of Global Sales and Services (GSS) in Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA). During his 27 year IT career, performed a wide variety of roles from programmer to executive. Prior to joining Sun, worked with the founders of Azini Capital as Chairman of three innovative, privately-owned technology companies focused on Marketing Automation, Supply Chain and Advanced Indexing and Search. His role in these companies encompassed all aspects of strategy, operations and corporate finance. Previously part of the executive team at Aspect Development when it was acquired by i2 for $9.4B - a record transaction for a software company at the time. Prior to Aspect Development, held a European Executive position within Parametric Technology. Also spent 11 years at IBM starting as a Systems Engineer and reaching the EMEA executive ranks. His early career was spent at the UK Home Office and ICL (now part of Fujitsu).
