Bio

Mr Kilajian is a Director in the Emerging Markets division at Dubai International Capital, where he is involved in direct buyouts, fund structuring and management of portfolio companies. In his current role, Mr Kilajian is responsible for sourcing buyout opportunities in Emerging Markets, in addition to leading transactions from due diligence to closing. His experience spans various sectors including Telecom, Leisure, Industrial and Infrastructure and he has worked on transactions valued at more than $7 billion in various European and Emerging Markets. Mr Kilajian has led the execution of a number of investments made by DIC, including the acquisitions of a 45% stake in KEF Holdings, a minority stake in Oger Telecom and a significant stake in the True Group. He also focuses on fund structuring and capital raising, and was a key member in setting up DIC’s US$ 500 million MENA Infrastructure Fund. Rami sits on several Boards and Investment Committees including KEF Holdings, MENA Infrastructure Fund, and CB Richard Ellis - Middle East. Prior to joining DIC in 2005, Mr Kilajian worked in the Investment Banking Division of Goetzpartners Corporate Finance in Paris where he focused on the Telecommunications, Media and Technology (TMT) sector in Europe. Previously, he was an analyst in the IPC Group in Merrill Lynch, in Paris, supporting a team of 4 financial advisors, and covering the Middle East and North Africa region. Mr Kilajian holds an MSc in Finance from ESCP-EAP in Paris and a BEng in Industrial Engineering from the Lebanese American University.
