Richard Beckert

Bio

Richard Beckert is a Managing Director of Teakwood Capital. He has thirty years of experience operating, building and exiting private equity backed companies. Rich was most recently Executive Vice President of ClubCorp Inc. He ran most functions of the company, including sales, marketing, human resources and operations. During his tenure at ClubCorp, the company grew in value by 75% culminating in a sale to a private equity firm in 2006 for $1.75 billion. Prior to ClubCorp, Rich was Chairman and CEO of Malibu Entertainment, a publicly held family entertainment business. He performed a material turnaround of the company and orchestrated a sale of the assets. Before Malibu, Rich was an equity partner and Senior Vice President of Bristol Hotels. He was instrumental in growing Bristol from $5.0 million in revenues to over $750.0 million and in taking the company public with an IPO. Rich has extensive experience in operations, corporate infrastructure, public companies, private equity transactions and creating value. Richard Beckert holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Cornell University.
