Robert Amen

Bio

Rob is a Principal at Vector Capital and joined the firm in 1999. Rob’s areas of expertise include enterprise software, packaged software, and public company investing. He serves on the Board of Directors of Precise Software Solutions, Inc. which he spun out of Symantec Corporation in 2008, and Corel Corporation, which he helped take private in 2010. Prior to Vector, Rob was a business development manager at Microsoft Corporation and a corporate finance analyst in the technology practice at Montgomery Securities. While at Montgomery, he completed over twenty public and private equity financings, raising over $1.3 billion in capital, and advised on three M&A assignments. His clients included Apex PC Solutions, CBS SportsLine, CREO Products, Echelon Corporation, E-TEK Dynamics, Hybrid Networks, NEON and Veeco Instruments. Rob has an MBA with distinction from The Wharton School and a B.A. with departmental honors in History and Economics from Stanford University.
