Robert Kelly

Bio

Robert Kelly is a Vice President focused on U.S. real estate opportunities. He is based in Washington, DC. Mr. Kelly has over 15 years of experience in commercial real estate financing, acquisitions, underwriting and asset management. Prior to joining Carlyle, Mr. Kelly was Director of Asset Management at PRP Real Estate Investment Management where he managed PRP’s opportunistic real estate funds. Prior to that, he managed Wachovia’s structured finance equity investments which totaled approximately $450 million, secured by 60 commercial properties with a total capitalization of $1.5 billion. Investments were located throughout the U.S. and included senior preferred equity, joint-venture equity and profit-participations. Previous to Wachovia, Mr. Kelly spent eight years as a Senior Asset Manager working on non-performing loans and real estate owned portfolios (REO) for Allied Capital and Criimi Mae. Mr. Kelly received his B.S. in business administration from Mary Washington University and completed the University of Shopping Centers Program at The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
