Ron Beegle

Bio

Prior to joining GCRI, Mr. Beegle worked for twenty years in retail related businesses. Starting his career with May Department Stores Company, he transitioned to Saks Fifth Avenue as a Senior Marketing and Financial Analyst, moving to positions of increasing responsibility and ending his career at Saks as the Senior Director of Strategic Planning. Prior to founding Goode Partners, Mr. Beegle was Chairman of Global Consumer Retail Investors, a consulting firm working exclusively for Credit Suisse First Boston Private Equity. Mr. Beegle was responsible for identifying potential investment opportunities, structuring and executing new transactions and monitoring certain CSFB portfolio investments.In 1992, Mr. Beegle founded and was President of Norray Management Company. Norray was a management consulting firm specializing in retail finance, process engineering and strategic business development. Clients of Norray included Saks Fifth Avenue, Barney's, Louis Vuitton and Broadway Stores. In 1994, Mr. Beegle joined Broadway Stores as the Senior Vice President of Corporate Finance and Administration where he managed the company's corporate structure, directed the company's financing activities and designed the company's reorganization strategy. Ultimately, Mr. Beegle was integral in the merger of Broadway Stores and Macy's, a division of Federated Department Stores. In 1996, Mr. Beegle joined Gap Inc. as Senior Vice President of Finance (CFO) for Banana Republic. Following this initial assignment, and during his more than seven years at Gap Inc., Mr. Beegle served as Senior Vice President of Finance and Operations (COO) for Banana Republic, Executive Vice President and General Manager of Gap Inc. Direct and Chief Operating Officer of the company's flagship Gap division. During his tenure at Gap Inc., and with the help of his leadership, Banana Republic was established as one of America's leading fashion apparel brands; Gap, Banana Republic and Old Navy launched their successful, industry-leading on-line businesses; and the company's flagship Gap division executed a highly regarded business turnaround. Mr. Beegle currently serves on the board of directors of Luxury Optical Holdings and Aeropostale (NYSE: ARO), and he is a former board member of Neiman Marcus. Additionally, he is a founding director of the USA Swimming Foundation and is a former trustee of Allegheny College. Mr. Beegle is a graduate of Allegheny College and has an MBA from the Stern School of Business at New York University.
