Tony Huang

Bio

Prior to joining with NXT Capital to establish NXT Venture Finance, Tony was Vice President of Business Development for Velocity Financial Group, where he was responsible for the firm’s investment activities in Silicon Valley and on the West Coast. Previously, Tony was Vice President of Technology Banking Group at United Commercial Bank, where he focused on asset-based lending to expansion and later-stage technology companies. His experience includes serving as VP of Corporate Development at Asante Networks, a leading provider of optical networking components. Tony’s background also includes various roles at Silicon Valley Bank, including Director of the Bank’s International Venture Capital Group responsible for international venture capital relationships and reviewing strategic investments in venture funds and technology companies. Tony also sourced, structured and monitored a loan portfolio of more than $100 million in commitments to mostly Silicon Valley-based technology and life science companies. Tony received an M.B.A. in finance from California State University-East Bay and B.A. in Business Administration from San Jose State University.
