Bio

Trained ACIB (1993), spent 5 years working with the Federal Bank of the Middle East and then Bank of New York, specilaising in trading with the Brady Bond. In 1995 joined HW Group plc, (TMP Worldwide) becoming a highly recognised business developer and leader within the group. In 1999, led a management team and raised private equity to form The Tiro Group of Companies (now trading as CPL Partners). The company was sold via MBO to the management in 2002. Mr Ramus has subsequently dealt in investing, advising, financing and implementing turnaround strategies within recruitment, publishing, retailing and manufacturing. He is a strong leader with entrepreneurial flair and has a proven adaptability to different markets. In 2007 Mr Ramus and James Caan invested £20 million to set up Hamilton Bradshaw Human Capital and over the last 18 months he has acquired a diverse portfolio of equity interest, including Eden Brown, Fresh Egg, Matrix SCM, The Resourcing Group and Lehman Ambrose. The group has nationwide operations with a consolidated turnover of over £250m. ACIB.
