Mr. Gopalakrishnan has over 35 years of experience; of which 25 years of experience in financial services specifically. He has experience in setting up, turning around and developing offices, introducing new products and services, setting up dealer/distribution network as well as account management. He has set up 17 branches and 5 different regions with different credit culture. Throughout the career his experience ranges from maintaining high level performance in the areas of business development, recovery, resource mobilization, product development, develop new areas and ensure growth. Mr. Gopalakrishnan has given inputs for developing and institutionalizing systems, processes and procedures in operations, accounts and legal divisions in his assignments with all companies. He had formed the 'Central India Hire Purchase Companies Association' and headed it for three years. This association was instrumental in bring the Hire purchase companies of central India in one platform and work on common issues related to industry. He has developed a database of customers for use covering all major Indian cities and had number of direct reporting executives as 4 SR VP, 2 VP, 7 senior managers, 4 functional heads while in Apple Finance assignment. His past experiences include managerial positions in companies such as Astute Remedial Services (India) Private Limited where he was promoter director from 2008 to 2010, SREI Infrastructure Finance Limited senior vice president from 2004 to 2008, Kotak Mahindra Bank Limited as vice president from 2001 to 2004 , Apple Finance Limited as Managing Director for 1994 to 2001 , Ashok Leyland Finance Limited as Chief Manager from 1988 to 1994 and VST Tillers Tractors Limited Sales Manager from 1980 to 1988.
