Abhijeet Lele

Bio

Mr. Lele joined EGS Healthcare Capital Partners from the healthcare practice of McKinsey & Co. He previously held marketing and business development positions with American Cyanamid Company, Progenics Pharmaceuticals, and Clontech Laboratories, and worked for S.R. One, Limited, the venture capital subsidiary of SmithKline Beecham. He also conducted research at Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory and the National Institutes of Health. He is a member of the Board of Directors of EKOS Corporation, Optiscan Biomedical Corporation, Cryocath Technologies (TSE: CYT), EP MedSystems, Inc. (NASDAQ: EPMD), Stereotaxis, Inc. (NASDAQ: STXS) and Medarex, Inc (NASDAQ: MEDX). He also serves on the Research and Development Committee of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF). Mr. Lele holds an MA in Molecular Biology from Cambridge University and an MBA, with distinction, from Cornell University.
