Bio

Bob is one of the most accomplished and respected senior executives in Silicon Valley having founded multiple industry leading technology companies over the past 40 years. He has a knack for picking the diamond out of the rough, whether that be an entrepreneur or new start up. Bob co-founded Selby and led its investments in 3ware (acquired by AMCC), BigFix (acquired by IBM), Blue Pumpkin Software (acquired by Witness Systems), Hotrail (acquired by Conexant), and Silicon Packets (acquired by Cypress Semiconductor). After starting his career as an engineer at Lawrence Livermore Laboratory, Bob was a co-founder and COO of Tandem Computers, a company he helped grow from its inception to over $2.3 billion in annual revenues before it was sold to Compaq for $3 billion. At Tandem, Bob oversaw more than 10,000 employees worldwide, and was also responsible for the Company’s corporate venture investments. Later, Bob was a Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Infogear Technology, an Internet telephony start-up that was acquired by Cisco Systems for $300 million. He currently serves on the board of Bay Microsystems, CO2Mer and Sierra Monitor. Bob has a Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering from Heald Engineering, and received his MBA from Pepperdine University.
