Bio

Christophe Bavière joined the company in January 2001 to take charge of the FoF unit. He became CEO of AGF Private Equity in July 2001. He was elected "Private Equity Personality of the year" at the Capital Finance awards on March 20th, 2007 by Capital Finance and Les Echos readers. Christophe Bavière chairs the Investment Committee and actively heads all investment activities. Prior to joining AGF Private Equity, Christophe Bavière held senior positions within the AGF-Allianz Group, first as Head of Fixed Income from 1990 to 1998 (€20 bn under management) and then as Head of Balanced Portfolio Management from 1998 to 2001 (€45 bn under management). Starting in 1998, he was instrumental in introducing private equity as a separate asset class within the balanced portfolios under his management and sponsored the creation of the FoF business unit within AGF Private Equity. Prior to joining the AGF-Allianz Group, Christophe Bavière worked in the Fixed Income, Primary Market Division at CDC, Caisse des Dépôts et Consignations, and started his career as a Fixed Income Trader at BNP in 1987. Christophe Bavière is on the board of AFIC, Association Française des Investisseurs en Capital, the French private equity professional association, where he is President of the Legal and Tax Committee. He is the President of the Private Equity Committee of AFG, French management professional association. Moreover, he chairs the FCPI workshop which gathers AFG and AFIC professionals. Holds a business degree from ESLSCA (Paris) and an MBA from the University of Ottawa (1986). He is member of the French Institute of Actuaries.
