Bio

Mr Jaharis is a founder and director of Arisaph Pharmaceuticals, a privately held drug discovery and design biopharmaceutical company, and a founder of Vatera Capital, a private investment firm focusing on the healthcare industry. Mr Jaharis founded Kos Pharmaceuticals and served as its Chairman Emeritus until its sale to Abbott Laboratories in 2006. Prior to Kos, M. Jaharis was President and CEO of Key Pharmaceuticals Inc from 1973 to 1986, at which time it merged with Schering Plough Inc. Mr Jaharis is a board member for several prominent non-profit and educational institutions, including Trustee Emeritus of Tufts University in Boston, MA; Chairman of the Board of Overseers for the School of Medicine, Tufts University; Member of the Columbia University Medical Center Board of Visitors, Member of the Board of Overseers of the Weill Cornell Medical College and Graduate School of Medical Sciences and Director of The Onassis Public Benefit Foundation (US). Mr Jaharis earned his law degree from DePaul University.
