Bio

Rob has over twenty years of experience in private equity investments in growing, profitable companies. He spent nearly a decade with Summit Partners in Boston, where he was a General Partner, prior to co-founding Symmetric Capital in 2007. With his partners he leads both the investment and the administrative activities of the firm. Prior to joining Summit, Rob was one of three original Principals with the Texas Growth Fund, a private equity firm focused on growth equity, recapitalizations, and buyouts. He joined TGF with a partner from Fortis Private Capital, where Rob held his first position in private equity after graduating from business school. As an investor, director, and advisor, Rob has worked with nearly twenty growth companies in business and financial services, technology, health care and industrial and consumer products. He currently serves as a director of BioRx, School Improvement Network, and TekLinks. His prior investments and directorships include Academic Management Services (acquired by UICI), Astech (acquired by GKN Aerospace), Belkin (private), EMED Co. (acquired by Brady Corp.), The Galtney Group (acquired by Arthur J. Gallagher), Hemophilia Resources of America (acquired by Accredo), and Insperity (NYSE:NSP). Rob holds a B.S., magna cum laude, in Computer Science from Yale University and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.
