Bio

Mr Ames, Vice Chairman, joined the Firm in 1987 after serving as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Reliance Electric Company, Chief Executive Officer of Acme Cleveland Corporation, and Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of The Uniroyal Goodrich Tire Company. Mr Ames is a Director of the Remington Arms Company Inc, and serves as Chairman of Graphic Packaging International Inc. and Schulte GmbH & Co. KG. He is the co-author of numerous books on management, including most recently, Market-Driven Management: Creating Profitable Top-line Growth. He serves on the Boards of Directors of Progressive Corporation, Lexmark International Inc, Remington Arms Company Inc, and Graphic Packaging International Inc. Mr Ames holds a PhB from Illinois Wesleyan University and an MBA from Harvard University.
