Bio
Ben, a Partner with Bain Capital Ventures, joined in 2007 as an Associate and was subsequently promoted twice. He co-leads the software practice, focusing on investments in software, technology and technology-enabled businesses. In addition to a strong affinity for technology, Ben loves working with entrepreneurs to innovate business models that create great companies. Prior to joining Bain Capital Ventures, Ben created the Sales Operations group and become Vice President of Sales Operations for Iron Mountain, an information protection and storage services company. At Iron Mountain, he managed sales strategy, compensation, and sales-oriented CRM and business intelligence systems. Prior to Iron Mountain, Ben was a venture investor with Fidelity Ventures, where he focused on software and technology-enabled businesses. Earlier in his career, Ben was a consultant at McKinsey and Company in a variety of industries and worked in Corporate Strategy at Microsoft where he focused on software intellectual property. Ben received his MBA from the MIT Sloan School of Management and his BSE, magna cum laude, in Biomedical and Electrical Engineering from Duke University.
