Bio

Bruce Fram is a professional company starter. He has been working with Mohr Davidow’s Information Technology investing team since 2004. The firm’s IT interests extend from the data center to applications that enable real-time business -- whether on the front end, building powerful interfaces with the consumer or enterprise, or the back-end of customer fulfillment. “Mohr Davidow is a true early stage investor that does not hesitate to fund a smart person with a great idea. This is the best of classic venture capital,” Bruce says. “I really enjoy helping great entrepreneurs get started. Developing a company in the early years is fun, exciting and challenging.” Bruce has been in the IT business for more than 25 years in a wide variety of roles in a range of companies. Starting his career as a programmer (think COBOL), Bruce has developed deep experience across industries such as networking, storage, financial services and data management. He has held line positions in marketing, sales and R&D, and he’s been CEO of five companies ranging from concepts on slides to $200M in revenue. “In providing help to talented entrepreneurs, I love digging in deep,” he explains. “Going the extra mile to do the critical work of recruiting, early customer development and market positioning, is what Mohr Davidow is all about.“ The firm, he adds, brings decades of early stage experience, deep domain expertise, and long-term perspective on what it really takes to build a great company. Bruce serves on the Board of Directors of Mantara. Graduated from Syracuse University magna cum laude, and the University of Pennsylvania Wharton School.
