Bio

Cameron Wood, Principal, has been with Kline Hawkes & Co. since 1997. As a Principal Mr. Wood's main responsibility is to seek new investment opportunities. In that role Mr. Wood manages the entire sourcing process from reviewing executive summaries, meeting with entrepreneurs, recommending investments and tracking prospective opportunities. Mr. Wood also works closely with senior management at many of the firm's portfolio companies, advising them with their growth strategies, alerting them to potential tuck in acquisitions and helping them fill out their management teams. Companies sourced by Mr. Wood have resulted in more than $25 million of new investments. Prior to becoming a principal, Mr. Wood was the Director of Operations where he managed the firms marketing endeavors as well as Kline Hawkes' IT infrastructure. As a published author Mr. Wood writes the firm’s annual newsletter and edits the content on Kline Hawkes’ website. Prior to joining Kline Hawkes. Mr. Wood founded a post production digital media company, Blue Moon Entertainment which provided subtitling, transcription and dubbing services for international film and television clients. Prior to that Mr. Wood worked in New York as a freelance producer, director and creative developer for film and television. Mr. Wood helped produce a variety of award winning documentaries, news, special events, and game shows - primarily for the Japanese market. Mr. Wood is a current member of the National Venture Capital Association and the Los Angeles Venture Association and serves on the committee of the Los Angeles chapter of Advance, www.advance.org an organization for professional expatriate Australians. Mr. Wood has lectured or served as a panelist for numerous events and institutions including the Price Center for Entrepreneurial studies at UCLA Anderson, the California College of the Arts, the Inland Empire Venture Forum, and First Private Bank & Trust's Business Services Forum. Mr. Wood serves as an advisor for several companies including: PaeTec Holding Company (NASDAQ: PAET), Rotec Design Ltd., and Kluge Interactive and is a board observer of Newcoast College. A graduate from Monash University, Melbourne, Australia with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature and Fine Arts, Mr. Wood recently attended the Executive Program at the Anderson School of Management, UCLA graduating in 2007.
