Bio

Corporate Director of Finance who has held various senior Finance and Operations positions in some of the world’s leading investment and commercial banks. Was responsible for the audit of Citibank's computer systems in Europe, Middle East and Africa; worked for Banque Paribas Capital Markets and was Chief Financial and Administrative Officer; and Credit Suisse First Boston and was an Executive Director. Joined EBRD at the time of its formation in 1991. At the outset was the Bank’s Controller responsible for accounting/financial reporting functions and operations/back office activities. In 1997 the Finance function was reorganised resulting in the Bank’s IT function also reporting to him. During this time also assumed the role of Acting Chief Compliance Officer. In 2005 was assigned responsibility for the Bank’s Administration, Procurement and Consulting Services activities, during which time was also personally responsible for the delivery of the EBRD Headquarters Refurbishment project. In 2007 moved back to Finance as Corporate Director in charge of Budget, Financial Planning and Capital Adequacy matters. Throughout time at EBRD has been involved in all aspects of the Bank’s Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery arrangements including the coordination of related policy matters.
